Wages are going up tomorrow for the lowest paid workers in the province.
The province announced earlier this year it’s moving the minimum wage up by 40 cents to $16.00 an hour.
The federal minimum pay will get a 2.4 per cent bump, reaching $17.75 an hour.
The NDP would like to see the minimum hourly rate increased to $20.
The highest minimum wage in Canada is currently $19 per hour in Nunavut.
