The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a report of shots fired in the capital city’s east end over the lunch hour today.

Police received the call around 12:30 this afternoon and cordoned-off a property at the corner of Virginia Place and Newfoundland Drive with police tape.

RNC say the suspect, or suspects, left the scene in a vehicle before police arrived.

The incident is believed to be targeted. Police have not said whether there were any injuries.
