High winds in eastern Newfoundland and storm conditions through central and west coast have caused numerous travel disruptions.

All flights scheduled at YYT for Monday evening have been cancelled.

Environment Canada has issued an orange wind alert for the northeast Avalon with winds forecast to gust up to 140 km/h in the overnight hours.

Officials warn that wind damage and power outages are possible.

Marine Atlantic has also cancelled crossings due to sea conditions.
