RNC are continuing their investigation into two separate daylight shooting incidents in the metro area on the weekend.
Police were called to a home at the intersection of Virginia Place and Newfoundland Drive in the capital city’s east end over the lunch hour on Saturday after reports of shots fired.
There were no injuries, but some damage was caused to the home. Police believe the incident was targeted. The suspect, or suspects left the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.
The RNC is seeking any information, or video footage from the area of Virginia Place, Newfoundland Drive, Janeway Place, and East White Hills Road, between 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Reports of gunshots fired in the area of Druken Crescent in Shea Heights meanwhile, prompted a police response around 4:00 p.m. that same afternoon.
No property damage was reported and there were no injuries as a result.
Both incidents are under investigation. RNC say there is no information at this time to suggest that they are connected.
