Nearly a hundred high school students were at the College of North Atlantic for the Jill of All Trades event yesterday.
Female students toured the campus and had a chance to try different trades, with the goal of adding more women to the trades in this province.
Bailey Holden is hoping to get into CNA’s welding school in September, but after a turn in the school’s bucket truck, she’s now considering applying to the school’s powerline technician program.
“I love it, to be honest. I’ve always loved heights and doing stuff like that. It’s never been a big fear,” she said
“The trades is a big part of how I grew up.”
