Two people were sent to hospital over the weekend with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle rollover on the TCH in metro.

Emergency responders were called to the accident, in the westbound lane between the Thorburn Road and Topsail Road exits, just before 7 a.m. on Saturday.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the sedan, which was significantly damaged, rolled several times before coming to a rest over an embankment.

A section of the highway was closed for an hour to allow for the removal of the vehicle.

Police are looking for any footage or witnesses from the area around the time of the crash.
