Canada Post says it has made its final offer to the union, but workers are not keen on it.
The Crown corporation has added a signing bonus of between $500 and $1,000, but the contentious issues of compulsory overtime and part-time work remain.
Meanwhile, the Crown corporation says it lost $854-million last year, a number which would have been greater without the sell-off of assets. The loss could have been over a billion dollars.
The company says the strike just before last Christmas cost it about $200-million in lost revenue.
