Newfoundland and Labrador was well represented at a national high school science fair at the University of New Brunswick.
Nine local students were among the 390 grade 7-12 kids participating.
Elaina Ralph, who’s in grade 8 at St. Bon’s in St. John’s, won a gold medal while grade 12 student Emily Qiu and Sophia Zhang, who’s in grade 11 at Holy Heart, each won silver.
Alita Patro and Orpa Halader of Gonzaga won bronze as did Vidya Chedella of Holy Heart.
