A man who had two warrants and tried to use neighbouring backyards to evade police has been arrested.
Police first noticed a theft from a business in the city centre shortly after 10:00 last night.
When officers tried to apprehend the suspect, he took off and started going through backyards to duck the police.
He was arrested and will see a judge later today on charges of theft, obstruction and breach of probation.
