A Labrador man is facing charges of assault with a weapon following an incident last week in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
The RCMP were first called on Friday.
It is alleged that 45-year-old Darryl Dyson chased a man with a weapon while uttering death threats.
Police were later told that this was the second incident between the accused and the victim, with the first going unreported.
Dyson has now been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
He was already facing unrelated charges of sexual assault, drug trafficking, and driving offences.
Dyson appeared in court today with his next appearance scheduled for July 17.
