A heat dome “the size of Quebec” is making its way to Newfoundland and Labrador.
Alexandra Cournoyer with Environment Canada says the high pressure system will bring temperatures in the low 30s to Labrador, and warmer-than-normal temperatures for the island as well.
She says the system will move across the province by the tail end of the week.
“Pretty much the entire island can get good temperatures,” she said.
“So the days are going to be hotter, and we can expect also the nights to stay quite warm. We’re looking at temperatures just above 15 degrees Celsius for the nights.”
