The RCMP in Happy Valley Goose Bay are continuing their search for a man allegedly involved in an armed robbery following some tense moments in the town last night.

Thirty-seven-year-old Kieran Pardy, who more commonly goes by Alex, has been identified as a suspect following an attempted armed robbery at Da Shed Pub last week. He is facing numerous charges.

Last night, police received reports that Pardy was at a commercial property on Green Street, and that he had a firearm.

A shelter in place was issued, but after an extensive search the suspect was not found.

Residents are asked to report any information on Pardy’s whereabouts to the RCMP, and not to approach him if seen.
