The provincial government says nearly $152-million in contracts have been awarded for roadwork projects throughout the province so far this year.
Government says a total of 49 tenders have been issued, and 42 contracts have been awarded for this construction season thus far.
Some of the work includes over $12-million for work on various sections of the Great Northern Peninsula Highway, $8.5-million for work on sections of Burin Road and Salt Pond-Winterland Road on the Burin Peninsula, nearly $7-million for a section of the TCH from Birchy lookout to Birchy Bridge, and over $4-million for work on Roaches Line and the Conception Bay Highway.
