The provincial government has implemented a province-wide fire ban.
That means campfires are not permitted, and all permits to burn are cancelled.
Devices that use gas, kerosene, propane, alcohol and charcoal to burn are permitted, as long as they are not close to the woods, brush or other flammable materials.
Most areas of the province have a very high or extreme forest fire rating, brought on by consistent hot and dry conditions.
The ban is in place until further notice.
