A man and a woman have been charged with pushing drugs on the northeast Avalon.
The RNC arrested 29-year-old Martin Marks and 24-year-old Emma Murphy on Friday following an alleged drug transaction on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s.
Police seized a vehicle at the scene. During a subsequent search of a property in the city’s west end, officers seized another vehicle, a replica handgun, prescription pills, a quantity of cash, and contraband cigarettes.
A significant quantity of drugs was also seized, including psilocybin (magic mushrooms), methadone, LSD, crystal meth, cocaine, and fentanyl.
The two are being held at the lockup.
They’re the same two who were charged a few months ago in relation to the largest seizure of fentanyl in the history of Newfoundland and Labrador. In busting the operation, located in the outskirts of St. John’s, RNC said at the time that they seized enough drugs to wipe out the entire metro region.
