A 41-year-old woman got the kind of attention she might not have been seeking after an unusual early morning incident in Gander last weekend.
RCMP say a driver was honking their horn repeatedly in a residential area in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
Police say the driver showed signs of impairment and failed a roadside breath test. Officers noticed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle.
The woman was arrested for impaired driving and breath samples were taken at the detachment that were nearly twice the legal limit.
The woman’s licence was suspended and her vehicle was seized and impounded.
She was released to appear in court at a later date.
