A 38-year-old man from Marystown is facing a list of charges after a theft from the Ultramar gas bar in the town early last Tuesday morning.

A man stole a case of beer and other merchandise from the store around 2:00.

The suspect ran from the scene, but was located by police on a nearby street. When approached, the man dropped the bag he was carrying and tried to run, but was stopped by RCMP officers after a short pursuit.

Curtis Foote is charged with theft under $5,000, resisting arrest, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with a probation order.

He’s scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
