The first monthly payment of the Newfoundland and Labrador Disability Benefit is out.
Persons with disabilities will receive up to $400 on the 25th of each month. Up to 8,000 people are now eligible to receive the payment.
The program also includes a $1,200 annual contribution to a Registered Disability Savings plan, but details of that component are still being finalized.
The benefit is being administered by the Canada Revenue Agency, so anybody who has questions will have to contact them at 1-800-387-1193.
