A St. John’s business owner is making a bid for the Mayor’s chair in St. John’s.

Ivy Hanley, the co-owner of the Urban Market on LeMarchant Road, says she believes that her not having sat on council before is a strength, and not a weakness.

Hanley, who has had her share of disputes and struggles with the capital city, says her vision is to make St. John’s more accessible for entrepreneurs and residents and is committed to streamlining city process, and supporting small business growth.
