The Registered Nurses Union has launched a new campaign spotlighting the work of nurse practitioners.
The RNU says nurse practitioners deliver both primary and specialized care throughout the province, and in many areas, they are the only health care providers offering services that would otherwise be unavailable.
RNU President Yvette Coffey says many of the practitioners they represent feel “unseen, unheard and undervalued – even though they are often on the frontlines” providing care.
Coffey says the “There’s an NP for that” campaign, launched at the Royal St. John’s Regatta, was created to bring visibility to their profession.
