A recent investigation has led to charges against two people for allegedly netting Atlantic salmon.
On June 14th, officers noticed a gill net in coastal waters that appeared to be set to capture salmon. A surveillance operation was set up and a boat was intercepted in the morning hours of June 15th.
Two people from St. Patrick’s near Springdale are due to appear in court in Grand Falls-Windsor at a later date.
A boat, motor, net and ten Atlantic salmon were seized.
