Hospitality NL is in continuous conversation with government on ways in which to enhance tourism in Newfoundland and Labrador.
HNL says now that passenger rates on the Gulf ferry have been reduced by half, they’re pushing for increased capacity on Marine Atlantic.
The chair of HNL, John Devereaux, expects to see increased road traffic to and from the island next season and conversations are always being had with the province to ensure that the infrastructure and amenities are here when guests arrive.
“There’s many moving parts to this as we move forward,” says Devereaux. “Roads, more lodging, Airbnbs, hotels, everything else,” as they prepare for an influx of people to the province.
