Stephenville RCMP have arrested two men in separate incidents who were driving drunk with expired plates and no insurance over the weekend.

A 66-year-old man in Lourdes was seen by officers crossing into the opposite lane Friday.

After blowing well above the legal alcohol limit, he will face a judge at a later date.

Then, two days later in Stephenville, a 51-year-old man blew nearly twice the legal limit after being picked up driving with open alcohol at 10:30 in the morning.

The man, who is from the Codroy Valley, will appear in court at a later date.

Their licences and vehicles were taken by police.
