A man having a nap outside a centre city hotel was none too happy with the RNC officers who woke him up.
Metro police were called just before 7:00 last evening about a man sleeping next to the hotel’s dumpsters.
The 34-year-old, who was intoxicated, became irate when police showed up and began yanking the officer’s leg in attempts to pull him to the ground.
He continued kicking up a fuss as officers attempted to place him in handcuffs and began kicking the side of the police car.
He was taken to the lockup on charges of assaulting a police officer, mischief, damage to property, damage to a police vehicle and breach of a release order.
