Firefighters were called to the Concord Paving quarry near Spaniard’s Bay this morning after the crusher at the site caught fire.

The Spaniard’s Bay/Tilton Volunteer Fire Department received the call around 7:30 this morning, and the Bay Roberts Fire Department arrived with two pumpers to help.

The blaze was extinguished around 10:00 this morning.

The scene is being monitored to ensure it doesn’t flare up again.
