Two Bikers Rescued After Becoming Lost in Abandoned Community on Northern Peninsula

Two bikers are none the worse for wear after they became lost in an abandoned community on the Northern Peninsula.

A 911 call was made by two e-bike riders on Wednesday just after 6:30 p.m. after they became lost along the Fortune Trail, near St. Anthony.

The bikers’ GPS coordinates showed they were close to the dock in the abandoned community of Fortune.

An RCMP officer along with members of the St. Lunaire-Griquet fire department traveled by boat to the community, where the pair were located safe and sound.
