A man is facing impaired driving charges after sending his vehicle over a steep embankment in Pouch Cove yesterday afternoon.
First responders rushed to the scene at Marine Park just after 4 p.m. after getting word that a man had driven his pickup truck over an 8 ft embankment.
When RNC arrived, the man, who showed signs of impairment, was still in the driver’s seat. An empty flask of rum was also found inside the vehicle.
He was taken to RNC Headquarters where he provided breath samples above the legal limit.
He was released to appear in court at a later date on impaired driving charges.
