The access roads for cabin owners in the Martin Lake area will reopen tomorrow.
The access road to Miguel Lake reopened last week, but up until now all other areas have remained closed. Over the weekend, the status of the wildfire was changed to “under control.”
The roads will open up at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, for all other areas, including Martin Lake, Great Rattling Brook and Rushy Pond.
Crews are in the process of removing equipment required for structure protection, but will remain in the area in the coming days to address hot spots.
Government says people may notice smoke in the area in the coming weeks, which is normal. However, any heavy smoke or open flames should be reported immediately.
