Two children are dead and more than a dozen others injured after a gunman fired into the windows of a Catholic school in Minneapolis Wednesday morning.
Officials have confirmed two children are dead, ages 8 and 10. At least 17 others suffered injuries as shots rang out during a back-to-school Mass at Annunciation Catholic School.
The gunman, described as being in his early 20s, took his own life at the scene.
A shocked and emotional Mayor Jacob Frey condemned the shooting, which happened while “these kids were literally praying.”
Officials provide another update at 2:30 p.m. on the shooting at the Church of the Annunciation. View the livestream at https://t.co/xkDjpB7k0a.
