The Tony Humby sexual violence trial continues in provincial court today.
It began yesterday with testimony from the lead RNC investigator, who confirmed that police were aware of complaints against Humby dating back to 2007.
But since no statements could be obtained, no charges were ever laid.
That changed in late 2022 when a victim from 2007 did provide a statement, leading police to other victims and more statements.
One of those victims is scheduled to testify at the trial today.
Humby faces more than 70 sexual violence charges against almost a dozen vulnerable youth.
His former neighbor and co-accused, 83-year-old Bruce Escott, has already been convicted and sentenced to 13 years in prison.
