RCMP Seize Cocaine, Contraband Tobacco in Central NL Raid

A 44-year-old man has been arrested after police seized drugs, contraband tobacco and weapons in central Newfoundland.

Warrant in hand, RCMP including police dog Thor descended on a home on Carmelite Road in Grand Falls-Windsor on Thursday. Officers found cocaine, cannabis, unknown prescription pills, tobacco, an imitation firearm and cash.

The suspect, who is from Grand Falls-Windsor, has been charged with trafficking in cocaine with a first court appearance set for December.
