People on the highways should slow down as hydroplaning is a possibility in some areas.
There has already been one accident on the Avalon. It happened on the TCH near the Witless Bay Line around 11:00. It appears that a vehicle overturned and landed on its side in the median. Passersby reported seeing first responders with extrication tools.

RCMP in central Newfoundland report several accidents due to hydroplaning in that area. They’re asking drivers to slow down.
