Stella’s Circle has received a Council of the Federation Literacy Award for its education programs.
The award celebrates “exceptional achievement, innovative practice, and excellence in literacy.”
The Council of the Federation is made up of provincial and territorial premiers from across the country.
Stella’s Circle provides Adult Basic Education courses and help adult students overcome challenges and set goals on their own terms.
Since its inception in 2005, nearly 300 adult learners have availed of the program, which has since branched out to help newcomers achieve basic English language skills.
