Ground will officially be broken on a new school in Cartwright today.
Earlier this year, government awarded a $38-million contract to JMJ Holdings for the project, which includes construction of a new K-12 school, a new parking lot and sports field, and the demolition of Henry Gordon Academy.
Infrastructure Minister Elvis Loveless and area MHA Lisa Dempster will be on hand for a sod-turning ceremony at the site on Main Road at 1 p.m.
The event is one of many government announcements and news conferences over the last few days as the province gears up for an election.
