More arrests and seizures have been made in connection with an ongoing intra-provincial drug trafficking investigation which has yielded, among other things, wads and wads of cash.
The RNC’s Weapons and Drug Investigation Unit searched a home in the east end of St. John’s in July resulting in the seizure of weapons, cocaine and a quantity of pills that were suspected to be fentanyl.
They also seized $100,000 in cash.
In August, officers descended on a home in Paradise, seizing six kilograms of cocaine and $300,000 in cash.
Three men, aged 19, 30 and 59, were arrested and charges are pending.
The investigation continues.
