A man and a woman are facing charges after a recent drug bust in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
RCMP say 42-year-old Darren Dyson and 26-year-old Danielle Powell were arrested around 9 a.m. yesterday.
A search of both suspects resulted in the seizure of cocaine, pills including suspected opioids, cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Dyson is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and opioids.
Powell was charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine.
RCMP have said cocaine is the leading cause of overdose deaths in Newfoundland and Labrador, and that Naloxone is ineffective in countering its impact.
