Bayview Academy in St. George’s on the province’s west coast is advising students to stay off the trail behind Henrietta’s B&B leading to Chubb’s Convenience as police deal with an incident.

RCMP say they were called to an incident at a home in the community on Thursday and while that investigation remains active and ongoing, police do not believe there is any risk to public safety.

Police officers did discover, however, that a section of a walking trail sometimes used by students crosses through private property.

Police shared the information with the school to make sure that students are aware and can avoid unauthorized access to private land.
