The department responsible for wildlife is putting plans in place to accommodate hunters during the postal disruption.
Licences to guide or trap, as well as to hunt black bear, will be available for pickup at any wildlife office, provided all the steps have been completed. That includes application, payment and responding email from the government department.
Due to the high volume of licences to be printed, the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture cannot guarantee a time for delivery of them to district offices. It’s asking people to order and pay for their licences as soon as possible.
Anyone who has not yet received their moose or caribou permit can call 709-637-2025 to arrange pickup.
