Some big animals are on the move on the Northern Peninsula, prompting a caution to anyone who’s driving a vehicle.
A large portion of the St. Anthony caribou herd overwinters in the area and, as winter approaches, more animals will be attracted to salt on the roads.
People should be especially cautious in the area of Eddies Cove East, Cooks Harbour and the St. Anthony airport, as well as St. Anthony to Main Brook.
