Another one of Tony Humby’s alleged victims testified at the sexual violence trial today describing the accused as, among other things, a “bad manipulator.”
Like several before him, the 22-year-old openly admitted to already being a career petty criminal.
But also like the others, he said he never signed up for the “disgusting s**t that he done to me.”
He, is Tony Humby, on trial for alleged violent, sexual abuse of a dozen teenagers.
They’ve told similar stories of him luring them to his place with beer, smokes and weed, drugging them with so-called “poppers,” then raping them once they were too out of it to protest.
As a group home nomad, the young man said having a place to hang out, get drunk and high certainly beat the alternative.
But he said he now realizes Humby knew that, too, calling him a “bad manipulator.”
“He was a normal old fella,” the young man said on video from jail in Stephenville, that was until he got drunk and Humby would ask if he was “ready.”
Humby would give him $20 for lifting his shirt, $50 for oral sex and $100 for intercourse, he said, and also ask him to recruit others.
The trial, meanwhile, could come to a head sooner rather than later, with the Crown now expected to finish in two weeks.
That will be followed by a Jordan application from the defence to dismiss some or all of the charges.
