The long-range weather forecast is looking good for the Santa Claus Parade in downtown St. John’s this weekend.
The man in the red suit descends on the capital city Sunday, and it looks as if Mother Nature will cooperate.
Cst. Steph Myers of the RNC says thousands of people will be in the area, and there will be road closures.
“There will be pedestrians everywhere, most of them young people. There will be lots of signage to follow with road closures, so drivers should follow the instructions for everyone’s safety,” says Cst. Myers.
The parade leaves from the Fort William Building at noon, then winds its way along Duckworth and Water via Prescott Street.
