A woman faces a slew of charges after somebody, supposedly with a gun on them, was causing a disturbance in a residential neighbourhood in the west end of St. John’s.
After an investigation, RNC officers could not locate anyone matching the description of the gun-toting woman called in to them. Furthermore, they determined the call to knowingly be a hoax.
As a result, a 37-year-old woman was charged with resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer, public mischief, and breach of the Emergency 911 Act.
She was held in custody overnight.
