Newfoundland Power is dealing with a number of outages from metro to central Newfoundland. They have resolved the issues in the Gallants area of the west coast and in central Newfoundland.
About 1400 customers in Portugal Cove-St. Philips are affected and 1200 in Mount Pearl. In neither case does the provider give an estimated time of restoration.
The outages are believed to have been caused by the high winds overnight and this morning.
Crews are also contending with outages in Marystown, Random Island, Harcourt, Goobies and Milton.
