Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a quick stop in Gander following meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump over the weekend.
Zelensky was at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in West Palm Beach, Florida where the two met for discussions on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the possibility of a peace deal.
The Ukrainian President is expected to meet with Trump again in January to talk about finalizing items of the peace plan.
On his way back from Florida, the Ukraine Presidential Aircraft made a stop at Gander International Airport.
The aircraft, which stopped to refuel, departed shortly after.
