Local volunteers have joined a national initiative to help entice healthcare professionals to go to Newfoundland and Labrador.
Called “Healthcare Infusion,” it is a series of websites run by volunteers with information about the province and links for how to begin the process of moving to the province and getting in the system.
The sites, which also share the stories of healthcare workers who have made the move, will help newcomers settle once they arrive.
Susan Thorne, who is helping to lead the charge locally, says the initiative is about everyday people getting their voices heard.
She says it is about ordinary people saying “we love it here, and we think you will too.”
