An Ice Jam Advisory issued on Friday for the town of Badger which sits at the confluence of three separate waterways has been lifted, but a River Watch remains in effect.
Badger Mayor Dennis Butt says the situation has stabilized for the time-being, but it could change rapidly.
“The ice front has moved to Badger itself” Butt told VOCM Open Line with Brian Callahan “so the water levels are steadily rising as we speak.”
Because of its location, Badger is prone to flooding when ice jams form and water levels rise.
