Coping with the snow mountains in the driveway is tough for anyone, but first and foremost, one has to keep the old ticker top of mind.
Sean Kelly, the CEO of Safety NL, says it’s important to be hydrated and to take frequent breaks. Doing things in a rush is not a good idea, and try to shovel in such a way as you do not strain the back.
He notes that some snow shovels are better than others and are ergonomically designed so that you don’t lift so much weight with your back.
“You should be lifting with your legs anyhow,” says Kelly.
