The Town of Paradise is pulling out all the stops in trying to deal with more than 100 cm of snow that’s fallen on the region in the last few days.
Mayor Patrick Martin says the town has imposed a 24 hour parking ban on town streets and will be issuing tickets and towing vehicles away to prevent snowclearing operations from being impeded.
In the meantime, the town is bringing in contractors to help with the snowclearing effort.
Martin says they’ll have to re-evaluate their budget going forward.
“We’re getting snow levels not ever experienced in the last couple of years.” He says it’s hard to budget when one year there’s hardly any snow, and the following year sees record snow.
