A man has been charged after an assault at a business in downtown St. John’s.

The Constabulary was called to the scene around 10 p.m. where a person suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect had fled the area before police arrived, however officers found him a short while later.

The 29-year-old was charged with assault and breaches of release order.
