The restaurant at the Hew and Draw in Corner Brook is closed until further notice after a vehicle smashed through the front of the building last evening.
First responders had to close a section of West Street yesterday after a car went through the glass windows of the hotel’s restaurant.
There is no word on injuries, however damage is extensive.
In a post to social media, management say insurance adjusters are on site and the restaurant will be closed to facilitate the cleanup process.
Tonight was an awful night.
First and foremost, we are hoping and praying everyone is OK.
This is an evolving situation and we don’t have all the facts yet, beyond a car crashed into our hotel.
What we do know is that we are extremely thankful for the emergency responders who came swiftly to help.
And that the community in Corner Brook and beyond has reached out with love and support, and that means so much to all of us.
We have insurance adjusters on site and restoration crews on the way.
The restaurant is closed for cleanup right now, but the hotel remains open. We’ll have more updates soon.– Hew & Draw (via Facebook)
